Kestral Foods Host EEP Work Study Visit

As part of their Business Operations workshop, our Exploring Enterprise participants visited Kestral Foods on a work study visit. They were welcomed by Production Manager, Raymond McKeveney who took them for a behind the scenes look into the production of one of their brands, Forest Feast. It was a real eye opener for everyone who attended and a great insight into the rigours involved in food production to ensure there is no cross contamination particularly where allergens such as nuts are involved. Following a very informative tour, and having witnessed a variety of processes and operations our participants got to sample some of the finished products. They each got to take home some fair trade dried mango, one of the products they had witnessed in production.
