The Exploring Enterprise Programme is officially up and running in the Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council area. Delivered under the European Social Fund (ESF) Programme 2014-2020, and managed by Enterprise Northern Ireland, the programme will be delivered in the Craigavon area through Local Enterprise Agency, CIDO (Craigavon Industrial Development Organisation). The initiative aims to boost employment across the borough by providing tailored support to the economically inactive, guiding and supporting them towards self-employment or helping them to improve their employment prospects by offering an opportunity to gain a QCF qualification in Understanding Business Enterprise.

On 29 August Kirsty Watson hosted a drop in clinic at Portadown Library where she discussed the benefits of the programme. CIDO have organised a similar event at Lurgan Library this Thursday, 6th September. If you are in the Lurgan area on Thursday and would like to find out how the Exploring Enterprise programme could help you or someone you know, call in and have a chat with Kirsty. She’ll be on hand to answer your questions between 10am and 4pm. The Chief Executive of CIDO explains, “The Exploring Enterprise Programme is a fantastic opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to explore their business idea in greater detail before taking the plunge”.
