ENI was crowned the winner of the Outstanding Training Provider award at the CMI Management and Leadership Awards ceremony in central London on Thursday night. The annual Awards celebrate the achievements and expertise of the UK’s best managers and management teams.
ENI which was shortlisted earlier in the year, was chosen to receive the accolade from 41 finalists from all sectors, nations and regions of the UK. The success flies the flag for a high quality of management and leadership in the small business support sector in Northern Ireland and is a terrific endorsement of the work of ENI and its members across all our national business support contracts.
The Awards judge organisations, teams and individual managers by looking at issues including financial success, governance, people management, communications, ethics, sustainability and learning. A total of 12 CMI Management and Leadership Awards were presented by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) in categories including Outstanding Leader, Young Achiever and Social Responsibility Management.
CMI’s President, Terry Morgan, said: “While stress and strain appears in the UK economy, it is great to see that there are managers and leaders who are excelling just when they are most needed. More emphasis and value needs to be placed on the importance of strong management at times like this and these winners are excellent examples of what organisations can achieve when the quality and integrity of managers and leaders is improved. Last night’s winners have set incredibly high standards of management and leadership excellence and I hope other organisations follow their lead. Without strong management and leadership UK plc will struggle to get back on its feet, meaning organisations need to act now.”
